This online Bear Awareness training program covers information relevant to individuals who spend time working, hunting, or enjoying recreational activities in bear country. The information in this course will help you to become more knowledgeable about your surroundings and prepare you to handle a situation where bears may pose a hazard.

• Chapter 2: The Difference Between Black Bears and Grizzly Bears
• Chapter 3: Bear Country Activities
• Chapter 4: Bear Confrontations

Approximately 60 minutes

Testing conducted throughout this online Bear Awareness course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved. Supplemental materials for this course can be accessed online.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
