Part 1 introduces BBPs, such as HIV and hepatitis, their transmission modes, and the critical role of the BBP Exposure Control Plan in reducing workplace risks. Part 2 focuses on the importance of treating all body fluids as potential infection sources and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, gowns, and masks, to prevent contamination. Part 3 outlines the procedures following exposure, emphasizing immediate cleaning, disinfection, reporting, and the significance of the Hepatitis B vaccine. The final segment, BBP Universal Precautions, promotes workplace safety through proactive prevention techniques, educating employees on avoiding contact with bodily fluids and fostering a culture of safety. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The final exam is able to be taken two times in efforts to achieve the pass mark.
