Part of a properly functioning Occupational Health and Safety program requires the identification of existing and potential risks to the health or safety of workers, and what measures are necessary to reduce, eliminate or control those risks. Procedures to respond to an emergency must also be included. A Job Safety Analysis can fulfill some of those needs.

A Job Safety Analysis (JSA), also known as a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) is a systematic approach to prioritize and select jobs or job tasks, identify its hazards or potential hazards and integrate precautions to reduce risk.

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark.
