• Identify common steel erection hazards and describe proper precautions to take to ensure you and your co-workers are safe during steel erection activities
• Describe safety precautions that must be followed when you are working with hoisting equipment such as cranes and derricks
• List the requirements for worker safety and maintaining structural stability during the steel erection process
• Identify the hazards associated with column stability and, specifically, the proper use of anchor rods or bolts to ensure column stability
• List the general requirements for erecting steel joists and describe how to increase your protection from the most hazardous activities during joist erection
• Identify the requirements for erecting systems-engineered metal buildings safely
• Describe the unique fall protection requirements for steel erection activities
