This course will discuss the Canadian Transportation of Dangerous Goods responsibilities and regulations that may be relevant on your farm. The purpose is to promote safety on the farm when dangerous goods are being handled, transported, or received and to help you identify the TDG requirements and exemptions that apply to your operation.

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:

• Understand your responsibilities and training requirements for TDG on your farm,
• Identify all 9 dangerous goods classifications,
• Define proper containment and handling requirements,
• Analyze proper information needed on shipping documents and when emergency response assistance programs are required,
• Recognize safety marks and proper placement of labels and placards,
• Define proper reporting and response requirements, and
• Identify farm exemptions from TDG legislation.

Approximately 45-60 minutes

Pass mark is 80%. Users will need to answer correctly before moving forward to each quiz question.
