The construction safety course is designed for construction owners, managers, estimators, supervisors and new safety representatives. Participants will learn the fundamentals for building a safe workplace that is appropriate for their construction company. The course assists in familiarizing participants with governing regulations and Certificate of Recognition (COR) audit requirements.

The participants will also build practical skills for supervising construction worksites, conducting toolbox talks, providing health and safety training, conducting regular safety inspections, doing safety investigations where an accident occurs and designing a safety manual.

The course includes 7 video modules with 6 hours of expert instruction and material. Eligible for 2 CCA Gold Seal credits upon successful completion.

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual.
