Course Overview
This course presents fundamental information for managers and supervisors regarding DOT “Reasonable Suspicion” drug and alcohol testing. Upon completing the course, employees should:
– Be able to describe the DOT/FMCSA drug and alcohol regulations.
– Know the types of situations in which motor carrier employees are required to undergo drug or alcohol testing.
– Understand the concept of “reasonable suspicion” testing and how drug and alcohol tests are conducted.
– Know how to recognize the signs that an employee may have a substance abuse problem.
