The Driver Training Series is a collection of training programs which emphasize the essential skills necessary for staying safe on the road. This series is appropriate for all levels of drivers, from the entry-level to the veteran commercial motor vehicle driver (CMV).

This online Driving Techniques: Driver Training Series course is designed to help drivers understand the basic driving techniques that will help them develop the skills and attitude necessary to safely operate a CMV. Specifically, it covers the importance of driving defensively and knowing how to safely maneuver a CMV through turns and intersections, over railroad crossings, while merging and passing, and while driving through roundabouts. After completing this course, an understanding should be gained of proper driving techniques to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle.

This online Driving Techniques: Driver Training Series course covers the following topics:

Approximately 15 minutes

Testing conducted in this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
