You are probably exposed to some level of dust in your workplace—dust that could potentially pose a variety of health hazards. If those hazards are significant enough, your employer will require that you use respiratory protection. However, even if the hazards are perceived as minor and protection is not mandated, it is still often advisable to wear a dust mask. This online course will explain how to select, use, and care for dust masks. This course is ideally suited for employees and supervisors in the heavy equipment, manufacturing (production and maintenance), construction, and mining industries.

This online Dust Mask – Voluntary Use Guidelines Course Covers The Following Topics:

• Differentiate between types of respirators.
• Recognize situations in which it is a good idea to voluntarily use a dust mask.
• Recall how to properly use a dust mask.
• Determine if a dust mask is in good working order.

Approximately 30 minutes

Testing conducted in this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark.
