In our HIPAA Awareness Training, we will explore how HIPAA shapes the national standards for protecting sensitive patient health information. Beyond that, we will explain the responsibilities that individuals and companies have in upholding HIPAA rules, and we will look into the criminal repercussions of breaking HIPAA regulations.

This course will be presented in four chapters :

• Chapter 1: The Basics of HIPAA
• Chapter 2: Penalties for Breaking HIPAA Rules
• Chapter 3: The Security Rule
• Chapter 4: The Importance of Tech in HIPPA

Course topics:

• An understanding of what HIPAA entails
• What kind of information is covered by HIPAA
• The required safeguards necessary to remain HIPAA compliant
• What penalties there are for any violations of HIPAA rules
• How technology continues to change the way HIPAA is enforced
