This free online course is to help Alberta employers, supervisors and workers recognize infectious hazards and prevent infections in the workplace. It was developed in consultation with infection control consultants and an epidemiologist.
This free online Infection Prevention and Control course covers the following topics:
· Explains IPAC and its importance
· How infections are spread
· Steps to take to prevent and control infections in the workplace.
30-45 Minutes
There are knowledge checks in the course. There is no exam.
A certificate of completion will be issued after completion. The certificate of completion will be available for downloading and printing. This certificate is valid for 3 years from the date of completion printed on the certificate unless otherwise specified by an employer, legislation, or other authority. This course is recommended to be retake every 3 years from the course completion date indicated on the certificate.
