Course Overview
The term normalization of deviance was coined shortly after the space shuttle challenger disaster. It was discovered that ongoing, dangerous practices were allowed to occur during the project and even right up to takeoff.
Allowing these dangerous practices to occur, in time became normal practices. If it can happen at NASA, it could happen in your organization.
In this program, you will learn how to recognize and prevent dangerous and unsafe practices from becoming normal practices both on and off the job. You will learn how to prevent yourself from starting down the slippery slope of unsafe thinking and unsafe acts.
