In this course, you’ll learn how Process Safety Management (PSM) reduces the likelihood of disasters such as explosions, fires and chemical releases from occurring.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

• Define the purpose of a Process Safety Management (PSM) program
• Know when OSHA requires a PSM program
• Recall employer responsibilities regarding PSM programs
• Recognize what is included in training about a PSM program
• Recognize elements of a Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
• Identify elements of written operating procedures, incident investigations, emergency planning and compliance audits

A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark.
