Welcome to Rescue 7’s Workplace First Aid Awareness training session. The basic philosophy of this seminar is our desire to leave you feeling secure enough to react quickly and effectively in an emergency.

The chances are quite good that in your lifetime you will be involved in a situation, which will require familiarity with First Aid, CPR and AED’s. Our training session is designed to be user-friendly so that all people, regardless of ability, will gain the confidence necessary to act effectively until trained emergency personnel arrive at the scene.

The reality of an emergency situation is that seconds count. Congratulate yourself that you have decided to become part of a growing number of people who are going to use these precious seconds to make a difference!

UNITED STATES – In accordance with OSHA guidelines and the American Heart Association. OSHA recommends but does not require, that every workplace include one or more employees trained and certified in first aid, including CPR. OSHA standards do not specifically address automated external defibrillators (AEDs).

Participants will gain knowledge in the following areas:

• Legalities
• Disease management and biohazards
• The Emergency Medical Services System
• Scene Management
• Head, spine, and pelvic injuries
• Bleeding management and shock
• Cardiovascular emergencies
• Sudden medical conditions
• Airway and breathing emergencies
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• AED training
• Secondary survey
• Musculoskeletal injuries
• Burns
• Poisons, substance abuse, and misuse
• Environmental injuries and illnesses

Online theory: Approximately 8 hours

Rescue 7 Inc’s Workplace First Aid awareness training session consists of 24 modules, plus a final quiz, in which the participant must score a minimum of 80% in order to pass the session. Upon successful completion of the online component, will receive an ‘Online Theory Based’ certificate of completion for the online awareness course.

The course contains required exercises which must be completed before receiving the Certificate of Completion. When a student logs off, each completed exercise will be saved automatically. Students have up to 60 days to complete the course.

Upon successful completion of the Workplace First Aid awareness training session, a Certificate of Completion will be available for participants to download and print. Certification is valid for three (3) years.
